February Empties

My bag o’ empties was in desperate need of emptying so here’s the contents of my trash for an undetermined period of time!

2014-02-21 12.14.37Got2B 2 Sexy Big Volume Hairspray-You’ve seen this before, my holy grail hairspray, smells delicious, already repurchased.

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Daily Scrub-I really like this face wash, but am in search of something that doesn’t contain those plastic micro beads that are polluting our oceans.

Herbal Essence Smooth and Soft Shampoo-Nothing to write home about, I’m currently back to my favorite L’Oreal Elvive Triple Resist Shampoo.

Collection Illuminating Touch Concealer-After running out of this, I had a Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer to start using, I much perfer the Illumintaing Concealer as it doesn’t crease and isn’t as heavy as the Lasting Perfection.

Rimmel 9 in 1 BB Cream-Love this, but it’s more of a summer product, will definitely repurchase for the warmer months, but currenlty loving my Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation.

Skin System Cotton Pads-Got these at Asda, cheap, cheerful, and they do the job!

Original Source Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel-I love the Original Source shower gels and Pink Grapefruit is a nice refreshing scent!

Soap and Glory Righteous Butter-My favorite body butter, on a new tub now!

L’Oreal Micellar Soloution-Already repurchased, might give the new Garnier version a go when I run out next as you get more in a bottle.

Vichy Idealia Serum-This was a lovely hydrating serum, tempted to purchase the full size.

Hand Maid-This is nice, but I prefer my Bath and Body Works scents!

Boots Botanics Hydrating Day Cream-This was a bit too light for my skin and I have repurchased the Skin Calming version.

Dove GoFresh Solid Deordorant-Love this deodorant, much prefer to the spray on.

Whew!  That was a long list!  All products linked if a previous review has been done!

Have you tried any of these?  What have you used up this month?

What’s in My Handbag?

If you haven’t heard of What’s in My Handbag, you need to go check it out.  Basically, it’s a site where everyone from celebrities, makeup artists, style editors to just us beauty bloggers upload the contents of their handbag for you to browse through.  You also get to build up a beauty cabinet by selecting products from the handbags you’re browsing, very cool concept.

So here’s my handbag, I had trouble getting a good photo of it as it’s very soft and kind turns into a blob when sitting.  I bought it from New Look a few months ago for £24.99.  I love it because it has a nice long strap and plenty of room!

And here’s what’s in it (Clockwise, kinda):

Sparkly Disco Purse that holds my work keys and cards (17 Freebie)

Bird Umbrella from H & M

£2 Sunglasses from Primark

Green Wallet (bought it while I lived in the States so UK notes don’t fit properly in it)

Soap and Glory Hand Food and Hand Maid

Como Shambhala Invigorate Body Lotion (from February Glossybox)

Cover Girl Lash Blast Fusion

Duwop Venom Gloss (from February Glossybox)

6 Sided Buffing and Filing Thingy from Superdrug

MUA Lip Gloss Shade 4

Illamasqua Freak Sample

Opia Comb

Maybelline Dream Matte Powder

I actually have some invites left so you don’t have to wait in the queue to join What’s in My Handbag, but grab them before they’re gone!

Product Review: Soap and Glory

I moved to the UK from the states about 16 months ago (you can read all about it here) and although you can find Soap and Glory products in the US, I didn’t really get into the brand until this year.  Because of this I was completely unaware about the gift set deal that Soap and Glory has for one week each year around Christmas.  So I did not hear about the Big Splendour gift until everyone started tweeting about receiving their’s on Twitter and the gift set was already sold out.  Gutted.  But now I know and next year I will not be missing out!

I did pick up a few Soap and Glory items while I was out shopping about a week ago (what is it about Christmas time that makes it so tempting to buy things for yourself?), so here’s a little review of those products for you!

Hand Food-This is the product that made me fall in love with Soap and Glory in the first place.  I think I first heard about it on Fleur de Force’s youtube channel and I had to try it out for myself.  It is a perfect hand lotion in my opinion, lovely scent, absorbs quickly, and thick enough to do the job.  In my job, I wash my hands quite often and need to regularly moisturize.  I always have two tubes of Hand Food at one time, one that is always in my bag and then a back up for when it runs out 🙂

Flake Away-I decided to try out this scrub because I am always on the look out for new exfoliators.  I have a condition called KP (keratosis pilaris) where I get small bumps on the back of my arms, it gets worse in the winter and I am always looking for a scrub that works.  Flake Away is another beautifully scented product, it is scrubby and moisturizing and I am really loving this scrub so far.

Hand Maid Hand Cleansing Gel-I just picked this up because I wanted to have a hand sanitizer in my bag for when I have to ride public transport and such.  Not sure that it’s any better than any other hand sanitizer on the market, but it does come in the cute pink packaging and has a lovely fruity scent.

What is your favourite Soap and Glory product (I really want to try Some Like it Hot!)?  Were you lucky enough to snag a Big Splendour gift set?
